Nemours: The Nemours FoundationThe Nemours Foundation is the charitable entity that receives annual investment proceeds of the Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust. Nemours is the nationally renowned health care system for children that The Nemours Foundation manages. Nemours is one of the largest pediatric health care systems in the United States. It comprises the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware; Nemours Children's Clinic in Delaware, the Nemours Children's Clinics in Florida (Jacksonville, Pensacola and Orlando); and the emerging Nemours Health and Prevention Services initiative. In 2012, Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando will open with 95 beds and will be part of a fully integrated health campus.
Nemours employs more than 4,400 people, among them 430 pediatric physicians, specialists and surgeons in nearly every pediatric subspecialty, including endocrinology/diabetes, hematology/oncology, neurology, ENT, orthopedics, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and many others.
