The Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust

The Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust was established in 1935 to support the care and treatment of ill and disabled children, the preservation and public enjoyment of the Nemours Mansion and Gardens in Wilmington, Delaware and the care of needy elderly persons in the state of Delaware.

Today, with assets of approximately $4 billion, the Trust's primary beneficiary is The Nemours Foundation, a 501(c)(3)-designated educational and charitable foundation which conducts activities through its children's health service institutions.

Because the Trust does not make general grants, this web site is not intended to inform those seeking funds in the Trust's areas of service. Rather, it is intended to share the life of Alfred I. duPont, the history, purpose and initiatives of the Trust, and the impact of the Trust on children's health.
